“Willie’s Reserve” will feature several top strains in 1-gram, 1/8th and 1/4th packages as well as pre-rolled joints, vape cartridges and disposable vape pens.
“For decades, as Willie Nelson and his band traveled from town to town, pot enthusiasts flocked to his shows,” it says on the WR website. “They happily shared the bounty from their home gardens and local communities. Willie happily returned the favor.
“Now WILLIE’S RESERVE™ pays tribute to a tradition of sharing, caring and toking. It’s as if the Red headed Stranger has offered an invitation aboard the Honeysuckle Rose to sample the choicest selections of his stash.”
Plans for the future include expanding the WR brand to other states that legalize marijuana for recreational use. According to a press release from the company, “consumers will be able to indulge with confidence, savoring each puff while knowing they're partaking in an age-old ritual that has bonded marijuana-lovers together since the first dried leaves were touched with flame.”
As I’ve pointed out before, in the absence of many well-known brands in the legal cannabis industry, it will be up to celebrities to build on the trust that comes with their name and what that name represents amongst the marijuana-consuming public. And there are few, if any, names that evoke a trust when it comes to quality marijuana more than Willie Nelson.
Willie is joining Snoop Dogg, Melissa Etheridge, the Marley family, Whoopi Goldberg and several other celebrities in the cannabis industry. Their brands will be among the first well-known brands in the history of legal cannabis.
It really is an exciting time to be in the marijuana industry.
