Promising young athlete Brian Scott encountered many formidable foes as a champion high school fullback and wrestler, but none quite as daunting as the acute myeloid leukemia he suffers from.
Instead of opting for more chemotherapy treatments, 20-year-old Scott moved to Colorado over the summer where he now receives treatment from a cannabis extract.
"This is not just about kids. Adults need it, too, and not just for nausea and pain," said Brian’s mom, Jane Scott.
A group of concerned parents have now formed a group urging the state of Utah to allow cannabis extracts to treat children.
