Northern California Fire Leads Cops to Millions in Weed, Cash & Nunchucks

A fire threatened to set millions of dollars worth of weed prematurely aflame in Northern California this week, and in doing so alerted authorities to a multimillion-dollar supply of weed, cash, silver, gold, firearms, ammo, and nunchucks. These guys weren’t fucking around.

Law enforcement responded to a call from firefighters in Sebastopol, CA, who discovered a major marijuana grow operation while putting out a fire in the same building. Although this isn’t anything particularly out of the ordinary in Northern California, what was extraordinary was the quantity of weed, money, and firearms found in the warehouse.

Police found $1.42 million of cash in bills ranging from $10s to $100s along with 1,421 pieces of gold and silver, hundreds of pounds of harvested, ready-to-sell weed, and unknown quantities of firearms, ammo, and nunchucks. This is the biggest bust Sonoma County has known since police found a backpack carrying $536,000 back in 1999. The DEA has taken over the case from Sonoma Police and is yet to release more details.

One unidentified man was arrested during the raid, though officials are yet to confirm or deny if he is a ninja.
