Rand Paul Courts the Cannabis Industry, Rated Most Pot-Friendly Candidate

Today presidential candidate and Senator Rand Paul will utilize his libertarian, laissez-faire political attitude in attempt to woo head players in the cannabis industry.

Paul’s fundraising reception will be at the Cannabis Business Summit meeting in Denver, CO, co-sponsored by the National Cannabis Industry Association. At the event, Paul will discuss and defend his stance on marijuana issues, such as banking regulations, medical marijuana policy, and nationwide legalization.

Chances are the crowd will be pleased with what the senator has to say. The Marijuana Policy Project gave Paul’s cannabis-related political policies a grade of A-, the highest grade given any 2016 presidential candidate.

Paul gained popularity in the cannabis industry by co-sponsoring a bi-partisan bill which makes it easier for states to legalize and enact medical marijuana legislation. He has also outspokenly supported reduced criminal penalties for marijuana-related offenses.
